Pressure drop particle precipitation from a quasi-incompressible, ternary and liquid mixture

We found a quasi-incompressible and liquid mixture of ibuprofen, water acetone, that enables the crystallization ibuprofen particles by decreasing pressure from 15MPa to ambient (~0.1MPa). measured solubility in as function acetone/water-ratio for pressures 0.1MPa, 5.5MPa at 308K using cloud point method. Based on solubilities, binodal compositions ternary system were modelled NRTL-SAC model. The drug increases with increasing constant acetone/water-ratio. This sensitive can be exploited via pressure-drop approach. A ~0.1MPa result supersaturation up 1.43.
